What is OBriasco Bridal?

Welcome to OBriasco Bridal and our first Blog post! As the first entry and to kick things off for this Wedding Season, I thought it would be great to introduce myself and how I came to be doing what I do.

My name is Olivia Briasco and I was born and raised in Napier, and my love of fashion led me down to Wellington to study and then overseas where I worked in Melbourne for Kyha (formerly One Day Bridal), and then on to London for a few years to work at Victoria Beckham.
I gained so much experience in the bridal and fashion sectors and love the level of quality and luxury that those brands embody. 
So, with my invaluable experiences, I returned to my hometown of Napier in 2018 and since then I've been designing and altering wedding gowns for local brides. 

I started OBriasco Bridal in 2022 wanting the boutique and fitting space to reflect how special getting married is. I have created a space which feels very calm, very warm, where your friends and family can sit and enjoy your fittings with you. 

I have made sure to offer a few of different services to ensure the bride and her dress are perfect and ready for the big day. 

The first is you can choose a gown from our own wedding dress collection, which has been inspired by the individuality of each bride and how they express their love through their bridal look, ensuring you radiate confidence and happiness, and feeling totally yourself. These dresses are customisable to your own desires through details such as necklines, buttons, fabrics, and lace placements.

Or if you have an original idea of something that you haven't seen or found anywhere else, we can work together to create a custom design gown which will be one-of-a-kind made especially for you. You can have input into all areas of the design so it's a lot of fun and very, very special.

And of course we also do wedding dress alterations for the bride who has already found her dream dress. Whether it just needs the finishing touches, like lifting up the hem or taking up the straps, or it needs a lot such as a complete redesign in lots of different aspects, I love to work on them all. 

In only a few years I have already met so many beautiful brides, some travelling from as far as north of Gisborne, Taupo and down to Central Hawkes Bay, and it truly is special being to be part of the lead up to their wedding day.
